Telegraph Magazine – We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ has been a regular read in most family homes. This year the illustrated story, which was first published in 1989, comes alive and will be shown on TV in the UK as an animated short film. We join journalist Esther Walker and her two kids for the Telegraph Magazine at the animation studios Lupus Films. Based in the attic of a narrow town house in Islington, we find a mix of European artist and animators who are so immersed in their work that they hardly notice my camera clicking away, yet I’m often only a couple of feet away from them. The result of this hard working and cramped environment; 5 seconds of finished animation each artist must contribute every week!
