Jamie Fobert Architects – T Fondaco Dei Tedeschi

Once again we were given the opportunity to work with London based architect Jamie Fobert and his fantastic team. The brief was to build an image archive and document their recently finished retail experience for the new DFS department store Fondaco dei Tedeschi in Venice. Though ‘store’ barely begins to describe the sheer scale of the experience when you enter the building which adds yet another layer to the city’s many-impressive charms. Our highlight of the production in the 13th-century palazzo was to take the striking red escalators up the different levels. Unfortunately they were shut down for the night, which was a shame as carrying our gear from floor to floor suddenly was not much fun anymore…
