USM/FreundeVonFreunden – Peter Schmucker

Freunde von Freunden, who collaborate with the Swiss office furniture makers USM, asked us to photograph a story on architect Peter Schmucker in his home town of Mannheim. We were given access to 3 of his latest projects; the stunning hotel/restaurant complex Speicher 7 situated along the river Rhein, his new offices which are based within the same impressive building, as well as his simple but functional family home on the outskirts of the city.It became quickly evident that the modular furniture is and has been an integral part of Peters personal lifestyle and the professional workflow for quite some time as it was present wherever you looked around.
