This year ended with a commission for the German based business magazine, Enorm. Over the course of one week we were asked to photograph pioneering social enterprise specialists. The article focuses on social enterprises in England, and includes five portraits of experts involved in sustainable business, ranging from fair-trade chocolate suppliers, Divine, to sustainable asset manager, Mark Campanale.

I went to an interesting exhibition about Degas’ work and the ballet dancers he studied for years for his paintings and sculptures this weekend. It was held at The Royal Academy and featured a lot of early photography and film making by the likes of Eadweard Muybridge and the Lumiere Brothers. Took me back to the time when I studied Fine Art.

This week I flew out to Tallin, Estonia, to undergo a project on the bohemian side of the town. Tallinn was once part of the biggest country in the world and is developing into a great cultural centre. Changing weather conditions made shooting challenging but I met many beautiful, kind and interesting people who made my short time out there very enjoyable. The article will be printed by Ink publishing, for Easyjet, and I can’t wait to see the final piece. I even came across some old but well preserved Russian memorabilia that was stashed casually next to someones’ desk. Could they be planning something?

One of my Cuban boxer portraits will be included in the Portrait Salon final projection on the 30th November. It will be shown at the Roxy Bar and Screen in London. It’s nice to see another image from this project displayed in a competition with other great photographs. A specially designed newspaper will be available to buy on the night which will include other shortlisted works.
